Ronan Keating è stato il co-manager dei Westlife (gruppo irlandese autore di grandi hits quali My love, I lay my love on you, Uptown girl ultimamente) sino ad alcuni mesi fa..Due anni fa erano degli sconosciuti, nel 1998 hanno conquistato uno Smash Hit Award per poi diventare un vero e proprio fenomeno pop in tutto il mondo. Questa, in sintesi, la storia del quintetto irlandese dei Westlife. Il loro omonimo album di debutto, pubblicato nel novembre del 1999, è diventato quattro volte disco di platino in Inghilterra, dodici in Irlanda e ha venduto più di cinque milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Dall'album sono stati tratti cinque singoli che sono arrivati tutti, fatto senza precedenti, al vertice della classifica inglese.
