I Dance Testo

Testo I Dance

Anyone can be a helpless star
twinkling as it falls from the sky
Then when the star burns out
you hope someone will notice
A single rose is planted in my heart
which changes into a red lizard at night
It finds its way around with a cold wet tongue
getting used to being in this lonely heart
I dance with all I have in the middle of the
stage, too busy to think of my role
And I start to understand myself
*You make me aware of a love
that I didn't have when I grew up
Before I wear my flower of sadness
let me take aside one of its spores
Illuminated by the fire that rises from darkness
I dance! I dance!
And even though the night was kind
you don't see that it was all a show
My silver hair ornaments
keep dropping down
piercing my heart like a sword
I break my pen in half
Whenever I try to change the story a little
it somehow changes into some kind of comedy
What would people use,
if they were measuring space?
When I want to pass on this thought,
which words should I use?
When you're near me, writing these feelings
down is not as easy anymore
I can't be distracted anymore but when we're
entwined, there's no more insecurity in my fingers
